Katrina Kaif, Barbara Mori Film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan Share Same Title

The name of YRF's upcoming film "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" featuring Katrina Kaif shares a similar title with Barbara Mori's Spanish film "My Brother's Wife". According to sources both the films not only have similar names but also have similar plot and story.

But the YRF completely denies the fact. While the shooting of YRF's film is going on in full swing the Spanish film is to release in India by this month.

Stan Jakubowicz film "My Brother's Wife" revolves around a couple Zoe (Barbara Mori) and Ignacio (Christian Meier) who is childless for many years. The husband whereas wanted to adopt a child the wife nixes it and was forced to make relation with her husband's brother Gonzalo.

And as the story goes Zoe and Gonzalo have an affair and she gets pregnant. While YRF's rom-com "My Brother Ki Dulhan", centres around a triangle love-affair where Imran Khan plays the character who falls in love with his brother's (Ali Zafar) fiance' played by Katrina Kaif.

As reported to a daily the YRF doesn't consider the Spanish film as a threat to their project. They said the earlier release of the film "My Brother's Wife" will make no effect as their film has more of a romantic tone than the adult one. Moreover though the basic principles are same but the treatment would be completely different.

The spokesperson of YRF denies any similarity between the two stories. The distributors of the film "My Brother's Wife" concerning about the similarities of the titles decided to change the name and renamed it as "A Beautiful Wife". Dhaval Gada of Pen India who is producing the film is not sure about the similarities both the films share but with time in hand has made some changes in the original story.

The producer said, "We do not know their script or storyline. Anyway, we have tweaked the original story of 'Spanish Beauty' to suit Indian tastes and the movie now reflects the triangular relationship between a husband, wife and the husband's brother." However, whatever be one's saying the truth will soon be publicized with the release of both the films.
